In 20 years, we've distributed close to
$2 million to agencies in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties.
These grants have addressed:
- The basic needs of food, shelter and clothing for women in need
- Health programs and education for minorities and low-income women
- Counseling for recovering addicts, battered and dependent women
- Education to help women make better choices and establish safe relationships
In 2007, the Portland Women's Foundation celebrated its 120th anniversary. In keeping with the founding purpose, we narrowed our focus to assist in areas of housing and education to promote self-sufficiency.
